About the North Valley Sportsman Club

The NVSC is a low key group of people who want to shoot at their own convenience.  We have liberal hours and mostly all we ask is safety and consideration of others.  We have a rifle range with  covered shooting benches.  There are targets at 50, 100, 200, 300, 400 yards and a buffalo silhouette at 462 yards.  The shotgun area has a trap set up.  There are five pistol bays separated by earth berms, two of them are covered shooting areas.  There are portable wooden benches available.  Usually it is possible for all areas to be used at the same time.

Our events are low key competition:  Bowling Pin shoots in the spring and summer, steel gong rifle shoots in the winter, a black powder shoot in the spring and fall, and sporting clays as scheduled.  A Sight-in Day is scheduled just before hunting season opens. Check the Events Page for times.

The range is located on the North Fork Road, 3 miles north of the Shop and Stop (railroad bridge crossing).  There are 2 turnouts on the right side of the road as you go north.  The road to the range is about a quarter of a mile past the 2nd turnout, on the right. The road name is Parker Hill Road.  (There is a road just past the turnout, the road to the range is the first road on the right after that.)  Proceed on that road past the clearing until you see our gate on the right.  When we have events there is a "Shoot" sign by that road.  Note: The North Fork Road is where Nucleus Avenue dead ends going north.  Turn right.
